Two of Auburn's six conference wins came at the expense of the Gamecocks. The Tigers earned a 79-74 win in Columbia in early February and then defended their home court 83-67 in the rematch. Chris Denson averaged 23.5 points in the two meetings for Auburn. South Carolina finished the conference season with just five wins but ended on a good note with a 74-62 win over Mississippi State. Frank Martin returns from his one-game suspension as the Gamecocks look for the upset.

The winner of this game will advance to take on fifth seeded Arkansas.
