Just a few items of note this morning as you head out the door (or not).

Georgia will have a plan in case Bobo leaves | Georgia Bulldogs blog | Columbus Ledger Enquirer
Georgia breaks for the holidays with Mike Bobo still a candidate at Colorado State. Coach Richt talks about junior college signee Chuks Amaechi, Todd Gurley's bowl plans, and players adjust to being in Charlotte for Christmas. I still believe that there are other candidates who make more sense for the CSU job than Mike Bobo, Oregon OC Scott Frost chief among them. Now that CSU has played it's bowl game, I expect the powers that be in Fort Collins should be zeroing in on a decision by early this week.

Bulldogs make most of four on-campus practices for Belk Bowl | Online Athens
If there's one aspect of the Belk Bowl invite and resulting schedule that I'm disappointed in, it's that the truncated bowl practice schedule limits work with younger players for 2015. Given the number of graduating players, especially on the defensive front seven, that's a little bit of a bummer.

“Bret has done a wonderful job.” | Get The Picture
The Senator has a nice note on the absurdity of paying coaches with losing records obscene salaries just because they coach in the SEC. To put it in real estate terms, some Ads are currently paying top dollar for the ugliest houses in a great neighborhood. And at some point the market is going to catch them with their pants down. And if the unnamed AD grousing about salaries and threatening to hold the line was Greg McGarity I wouldn't be at all surprised.

We'll be back this afternoon with a preview and open thread for the Hoop Hounds' big matchup with Seton Hall at 6:00 EST. Until then...
