The Classic City Canines utterly demolished the Swashbuckling Buccaneers from Charleston Southern, today's sacrificial cupcake, with a final score of 55-9. It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to once again bring to you, the Mark Richt Victory Watch.
Mark Richt has now secured his 135th career win, in only 182 total games as the head man in charge in the Classic City. Coach Richt currently boasts a 135-47 record and a .7418 winning percentage. At the identical juncture in their careers, Coach Wally Butts was 114-60-8 (.626) following a win against the Bad Columbia in in 1955 and Vince Dooley and the 1980 National Championship Bulldogs featuring Herschel Walker had just won their second game of the season against Texas A&M Between The Hedges bringing Coach Dooley to an all-time record of 120-56-6 (.659).
Mark Richt remains statistically head and shoulders above his historical coevals at the same point in their respective careers and the one man for whom I would leave Mr. Podunkdawg, should I be presented with such an opportunity.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and start practicing Calling the Hogs* so you may enjoy sweet dreams of watching the Bulldogs play in the Georgia Dome very soon.
Until later . . .
Go 'Dawgs !!!
*I have no idea why Hogs have to be called three times, but they do and you need to practice for next week. Per Wikipedia: "Fans begin a hog call with a "Woo", which increases in volume and also includes raising the arms with fingers wiggling up and down. Razorback fans have stated that the Woo should last eight seconds. The arms are brought down during the "pig" and the hands are clenched into a fist. "Sooie" is accompanied with a fist pump. After the third call, "Razorbacks" is added with two additional fist pumps." The words are: Woooo! Pig! Sooie! Woooo! Pig! Sooie! Woooo! Pig! Sooie! Razorbacks!
