Week 12 was great, almost perfect. Almost.

Auburn arrived in Athens, GA, but the team never got off the Gus Bus. UGA destroyed Auburn 34-7 in a game that saw a great UGA rushing attack and the Dawg defense making several big stops. Both Nick Chubb and Todd Gurley eclipsed 100 yards rushing, and the defense held Auburn’s normally potent offense to just 292 total yards and seven points. The only blemish to an otherwise perfect night in the Classic City was the torn ACL Gurley sustained, likely ending his UGA career.
Although Gurley went down, UGA still got revenge from last year’s tilt. And then some.
Fell Out: #15 Notre Dame, #18 Clemson, #20 LSU
Newcomers: #19 Missouri, #23 Oklahoma, #24 USC
#18 Marshall. The Thundering Herd are undefeated and should be rewarded for not losing a game in 2014. However, if they do indeed make one of the Big Six games, they will get run out of the building much like Hawaii did in the ’08 Sugar Bowl.
#2 Alabama. Alabama is the top team in the nation, and hopefully the committee agrees when their rankings come out on Tuesday.
This Week’s Top 25 Matchups
#15 Arizona at #20 Utah
#24 USC at #11 UCLA
Utah survived their upset scare last week, defeating Stanford 23-20 in overtime.
This week, I’ve got Arkansas building off their victory over LSU and knocking off #8 Ole Miss at home.
