One of the hazards inherent in a nighttime kick off in the friendly confines of Sanford Stadium is that you have to find ways to occupy yourself in the 12 or so waking hours prior to kickoff. You could always take up bonsai, or clean your gutters. Or, you could hang out here with fellow Bulldog fans and watch what little gripping college football there is today.

Normally the later you go in the season the more compelling the matchups get. For some reason this Saturday did not get that memo. Most teams are taking this week to nibble on cupcakes, but there is some good football yet to be watched. Georgia Tech will take on Clemson at noon on ABC in a game for which I should not have to tell you for whom you should probably be rooting. The main attraction in the 3:30 time slot is of course #1 ranked Mississippi State traveling to Alabama on CBS. Mississippi State has surprised me before this season, but my sense is that this game is a little too big for the Bizarro Bulldogs at this point. You will not catch me picking against the Crimson Tide in a big game in Bryant – Denny Stadium.

So kick back, grab a beverage of your choice, pull your parka a little closer, and have a great time. Until later...

Go 'Dawgs!!!
