Your Week 10 College Football TV Schedule

Brought to you by Mark Emmert... Who would like to remind you that you should always be dishonest and deny everything. If you play your cards right, you might even win a trophy.

So the College Football Playoff Committee announced their initial standings earlier this week and many parts of the country (particularly those North and West of here) lost their collective minds.  To which I have to say, if you don't like "SEC Bias" tell your crappy conference to step it up.  That said, I have no problem acknowledging that the Committee didn't do itself any favors with these initial rankings.  The good news is, all of that will start to clear itself up this week and the rankings will settle themselves out just like they always do.  Every year about this time people freak out about how things couldn't possibly work out by the end of the season. Every year they do.  As such, here are some games you should check out this week as things begin to come into focus:

THURSDAY

#2 Florida State Seminoles @ #25 Louisville Cardinals (7:30 pm, ESPN)

I won't be rooting for the Cardinals in this one so much as I'll be rooting against the Seminoles.  Side note: If you're a football fan living in the Louisville area, its your lucky day.  I hear Jameis Winston will be staying after the game for 2-3 hours and signing autographs (because he's just a great guy).  But wait, there's more! FSU will be providing charter bus service for all fans with signed memorabilia so you can visit the closest available authentication service and have your items simultaneously and sequentially authenticated.  Because at FSU, they do things the right way!

FRIDAY

Cincinnati Bearcats @ Tulane Green Wave (8:00 pm, ESPN)

There are no playoff implications here. Just a crummy Friday night game between a team Tommy Tuberville can't seem to keep out of trouble and 2-5 Tulane.  Enjoy.

SATURDAY NOON

Air Force Falcons @ Army Black Knights (11:30 am, CBS)

Wowee Wow Wow! Is the noon slate this Saturday a total snoozefest or what?  Honestly, I can't muster much interest in any of the games on tap.  And when that happens, I always turn to the service academies... because, frankly, I don't think I've ever not enjoyed a game featuring Army, Navy, or Air Force.  They could be good this year, they could be not so much.  But it's generally a good time. Plus, it starts at 11:30 in the morning so you get to start your college football a half an hour earlier.

SATURDAY MIDDAY

Florida Gators vs. #11 Georgia Bulldogs (3:30 pm, CBS)

I'm just gonna leave this here:

I sort of have this feeling that the Gators are going to end up on the wrong end of UGA's wrath about the Gurley suspension.  And then we're gonna dance on Will Muschamp's grave (metaphorically, of course).

Bonus Pick: #7 TCU Horned Frogs @ #20 West Virginia Mountaineers (3:30 pm, ABC)

Should the other pick get too out of hand, you can always switch over and see how TCU copes with success and expectations.

SATURDAY EVENING

#3 Auburn Tigers @ #4 Ole Miss Rebels (7:00 pm, ESPN)

Everyone who has their panties all in a bunch about 3 SEC teams in the Top 4 can just go ahead and calm down.  After this game, one of these teams is plummeting into the teens and is probably out of the playoff discussion altogether.  The SEC West will cannibalize itself.  Just relaaaaaaaax....

Navy Midshipmen vs. #10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8:00 pm, CBS)

Please let Navy win this game. Pretty please.

SATURDAY LATE

#12 Arizona Wildcats @ #22 UCLA Bruins (10:30 pm, ESPN)

#17 Utah Utes @ #14 Arizona State Sun Devils (11:00 pm, FS1)

Why the hell do all these ranked West Coast teams get the coveted 10 pm-2 am time slot all to themselves? How are we allowing one conference to corner the market on insomniacs and elderly shut-ins??? How am I supposed to watch an infomercial for the Slap Chop with all this football taking up my channels? PAC-12 BIAS!!!!

That's all for this week folks. Until next time...

GOOOO DAWGS!!!
