Georgia Overview
It was another great Saturday for all the Chubby boys and girls out there. Nick Chubb ran for 202 yards on 30 carries, and Hutson Mason and Chris Conley connected five times for 128 yards and a touchdown as the Dawgs beat the Arkansas Razorbacks 45-32 in Little Rock. UGA sprinted out to a 38-6 halftime lead before taking their foot off the gas pedal in the second half. The #9 Dawgs have a much needed bye week before they head to Jacksonville for the Cocktail Party.
Movers
Fell Out: #15 Oklahoma State, #21 Texas A&M, #23 Stanford
Newcomers: #22 West Virginia, #24 LSU, #25 UCLA
Overrated
#15 Arizona. The Wildcats had this past weekend off, but looking ahead at their schedule, there are 3-4 more losses out there. If Arizona doesn’t trip up in Pullman against Wazzu, they will go down in Los Angeles at the hands of the UCLA Bruins
Underrated
#21 Clemson. The Tigers have two very respectable losses as their only blemishes this season. Their schedule is very favorable the rest of the way, and it is very possible that Clemson ends the season with only those two losses. Look for the Tigers to keep climbing the polls.
This Week’s Top 25 Matchups
#3 Ole Miss at #24 LSU
#20 USC at #19 Utah
Upset Alert
Once again, my upset alert team should have listened to me, as Baylor went down at West Virginia last week. With only two matchups featuring ranked teams this week, there are no shortages of options for this week’s upset alert. Wazzu over Arizona and Oklahoma State over West Virginia both could very well happen. However, I’m going with Penn State to take care of business at home against Ohio State. Penn State has lost two straight, and Ohio State has beat up on inferior opponents as of late, but an 8:00 pm kick in Happy Valley will help spur the Nittany Lions to their first signature win under new coach James Franklin.
