Obviously the college football game about which you care most will be taking place at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon. That being said you have to do something for the next four and a half hours. You might as well watch other schools play college football because, to be frank, you only get so many fall Saturdays.

The lone early matchup of ranked teams pits #14 Kansas State against #11 Oklahoma on ESPN at noon. #4 Baylor travels to the University of By God West Virginia for a matchup of high scoring, defense-optional Big XII teams (he said redundantly). Division leading Virginia (I can't believe I typed that...) travels to Duke fir a 12:30 ABC matchup with a chance to really secure control of the Coastal Division. And Furman takes on South Carolina on SEC Network. I watched this Furman team take on Mercer in Macon earlier this year. If they stay with the Gamecocks, then things in Columbia are worse than I thought. If the Palmetto State Poultry lose, then Steve Spurrier might be in Augusta by Monday.

We hope you enjoy your football appetizers, and will see you back at 3:30 for the UGA/Arkansas First Half Open Comment Thread. Until then...

Go 'Dawgs!!!
