Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE

This is the final installment of our bowl prediction series. After you've read this you will have read our (in)expert takes on everything but the final championship game of the BCS era. Keep an eye out for that next week. In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed reading this series as much as we've enjoyed writing it.

Orange Bowl (January 3, 8:30 p.m.)
No. 12 Clemson v. No. 7 Ohio State (-2.5)
We're rooting for our nearest rivals here. Urban Meyer is the devil, and tOSU has an oversized sense of self-worth. Unfortunately, I think the Buckeyes are going to buzzsaw the Palmetto State Pussycats. Remember what happened the last time Clemson faced a high-powered offense in the Orange Bowl? Compass Bowl (January 4, 1:00 p.m.)
Vanderbilt (-2.5) v. Houston
This is only the Commodores' seventh bowl appearance. That should motivate them to show up. You've also got to imagine that James Franklin is more than a little frustrated that he hasn't gotten a better job offer yet. I think he puts on a show to build the old resume. Vandy sends Houston home unhappy.

GoDaddy.com Bowl (January 5, 9:00 p.m.)
Arkansas State v. Ball State (-8.5)
David Letterman is a Ball State alumnus. I've never heard of any of Arkansas State's alumni. The Cardinals cover.
