First things first, and that is player health. Injuries have been the main storyline of Georgia's season, and this week's game against Auburn, like so many since Tennessee, can be decided in part by who's taking the field and who isn't. Richt updated reporters yesterday on the potential return of Chris Conley this weekend. Jay Rome appears to be out, but Arthur Lynch should be good to go. Even missing Rome, the return of Conley and Lynch would give Georgia it's healthiest since that awful day in Knoxville over a month ago. There was no mention of DL Toby Johnson, who's return could help Georgia's run defense against by far the most potent rushing attack in the SEC.
Also yesterday, it was announced that Georgia's home finale will be under the bright lights of the night. It is not determined whether the game will be televised on ESPN2 or ESPNU, but when Kentucky comes to play it'll kick off at 7 p.m. I'll go out on a limb and say layers of good warm clothing would be advisable for a late November 23rd start time.
Go Dawgs!
