I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking this is a little early for a basketball game. (Actually, you’re probably thinking how odd it was that anyone didn’t get the fact that RedCrake’s Erin Murphy posting was a parody, or wondering how anyone could mistake Aaron Murray’s fake fake dying girlfriend’s Twitter account for his real fake dying girlfriend’s Twitter account, but bear with me here.) So, you’re thinking this is a little early for a basketball game, aren’t you?
Yes, it is. However, today is a pretty big day for University of Georgia athletics, so we’re going to run an all-day all-sports open comment thread. Here are the events we will be tracking today, with links (where available) to live scoring and other available information on the pertinent games, meets, and matches:
- Men’s and Women’s Track: Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern
- Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving: v. Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., beginning at 12:00 noon Eastern
- Women’s Equestrian: v. Fresno State in Fresno, Calif., beginning at 1:00 p.m. Eastern
- Men’s Tennis: ITA Kickoff Weekend in Athens beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern
- Men’s Basketball: v. Texas A&M in College Station, Tex., beginning at 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Fox Sports Net
- Women’s Gymnastics: Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Tex., beginning at 8:00 p.m. Eastern
- Men’s Ice Hockey: v. South Carolina in Duluth beginning at 8:45 p.m. Eastern
Yes, we’re paying attention to Georgia hockey now. The Ice Dogs were December’s Rec Sports Club of the Month, and they cap off a full day of Red and Black athletics, and, hey, the name of the site is Dawg Sports. (We swear there’s really a Georgia ice hockey team; I promise this isn’t like the Erin Murphy thing. Honest.) Let us know if there’s a Georgia sporting event we’ve missed, and join in the conversation in the comments below.
Go ‘Dawgs!
