Frankly, I don't care a thing in the world about the NFL, but I know some of you do, and, hey, college football season is over, so we have to take what we can get, and what we happen to be able to get on this particular Sunday afternoon is the Atlanta Falcons taking on the San Francisco 49ers for the NFC championship and the corresponding Super Bowl berth after Matt Ryan and his co-workers managed to snatch back a game they did everything imaginable to give away to the Seattle Seahawks last weekend.

Anyway, here is your game day open comment thread as the Falcons take on the 49ers. In case you're interested, San Francisco has one former Georgia player on injured reserve (Demarcus Dobbs) and Atlanta has one former Georgia player on the Falcons' active roster (Akeem Dent), so, if that sort of thing matters to you (as it absolutely should), your rooting interest is with Atlanta.

But wait! There's more! At 5:00 p.m. Eastern, Andy Landers's Lady Bulldogs will host Texas A&M in a women's basketball game televised on ESPN2. Feel free to use this as your ladies' hoops thread, as well, while you watch the game on the Deuce and track the stats here.

Go 'Dawgs! . . . and go Falcons!
