Happy new year, and welcome to the dedicated New Year's Day college football bowl game open comment thread!

There will be a separate thread devoted exclusively to the Capital One Bowl game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Nebraska Cornhuskers later today, but this thread will remain available throughout the day for the other January 1 games, including the Mississippi St. Bulldogs' Gator Bowl matchup with the Northwestern Wildcats, the South Carolina Gamecocks' Outback Bowl encounter with the Michigan Wolverines, the Rose Bowl between the Stanford Cardinal and the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Orange Bowl pitting the Florida St. Seminoles against the Northern Illinois Huskies.

Enjoy the stress-free thread set aside for games not involving the Red and Black, and join us for the Capital One Bowl thread, as well.
