A Musical Journey Through Georgia's 2012 Football Schedule: Part IV

It's finally time. In just another week there will be college football and in 9 days the Dawgs will take the field. Its also time for Part IV of our musical journey through the Georgia Bulldogs 2012 football schedule. I know you're all devastated that this magical trip is coming to an end (or is it?).

For those of you who haven't seen the musical journey posts up to now, let me shed some light on my insane brilliant thought process:

At the beginning of the summer, I found myself opining the seemingly endless months ahead before college football would return. Then a thought occurred to me:

What if we took a few minutes every couple of weeks to sit back, crack open our favorite whiskey/beer/frou-frou cocktail, and enjoy some tuneage? Better yet, what if every song we enjoyed came from or was in some way related to each opponent the Bulldogs will face next season or the city from which they hail? And with that, the Musical Journey series was born. And we've finally found our way to the last installment.

Tonight we hit Auburn, Georgia Southern, and Georgia Tech... so grab a jack & coke (or a Zima if you prefer) and hit the jump...

November 10, 2012 - Georgia Bulldogs at Auburn Tigers

Captain and Tenille - Muskrat Love

Leave it to an Auburn grad (Toni Tenille - Class of '62) to fantasize about the sexual proclivities of a semi-aquatic rodent. I'll leave it at that.

November 17, 2012 - Georgia Southern Eagles at Georgia Bulldogs

The Allman Brothers Band - Statesboro Blues

Not sure how I could've picked anything else here. Enjoy.

November 24, 2012 - Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Georgia Bulldogs

A Trio Of Embarrassments

There aren't any good bands that have come out of Georgia Tech as far as I know. Things like dating, playing instruments, and partying would take away from the student body's busy LARPing schedule. So instead I present to you a trio of embarrassments courtesy of Georgia Tech along with a few small notes:

1) 2008 Georgia Tech Promotional Video

Georgia Tech + Your Dreams = A flaming pile of rubble

2) 2009 Georgia Tech Promotional Video

Ah yes, lets again enter the world of fantasy where a tricycle race inevitably leads to manned spaceflight...

3) 2010 Georgia Tech Promotional Video

Its turns out I did find the best musician at Tech... its a robot. The top comment says the girl in the video was a Tech student:

INB4 "She goes to Tech?!"

Yes, she does.

Having visited North Avenue on several occasions, I still have my doubts. If its true, I think we can at least safely assume that she wasn't dating another Tech student. Regardless, I think we can all agree that the fact that its the first thing that popped into people's minds is sort of the problem.

That's it guys. Hope you're as ready for the season as I am. GO DAWGS!!!
