Lady Dawgs continue their winning ways with 76-63 win over #25 Vanderbilt

Landers' Ladies have won three in a row after their home victory against Vanderbilt Sunday afternoon. The Lady Commodores came in to the game ranked 25th in the country, but the game was never close.

More after the jump....

Georgia used a game where neither team had much depth to its advantage, using 7 players to Vandy's 8, although 2 of those 8 played fewer than 5 minutes. They played well on both ends of the floor, forcing 19 Vanderbilt turnovers and hitting over 40% from 3. But the Lady Dawgs had great games out of the few players they could use, led by a red hot shooting night from Anne Marie Armstrong. The junior wing out of Wesleyan made 11 of 16 shots from the field in a 23 point day, in addition to 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Fellow juniors Jasmine James and Jasmine Hassell scored 17 and 18 respectively. Hassell hauled in 11 rebounds to go along with her 18 points, and James contributed 4 assists, 3 boards, and 3 steals in addition to her 17. Sophomore Khaalidah Miller joined the double figure brigade chipping in 10 points in an all around effort that saw her post 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals across the box score.

The women's hoops team continues its season Thursday with a visit to currently 25th ranked South Carolina in Columbia.
