The final day of 2012 is upon us, and, at long last, we finally have arrived at some bowl games about which Bulldog Nation might give more than a sliver of a damn. At noon on ESPN, the Vanderbilt Commodores will be competing in the Music City Bowl, followed at 2:00 on CBS by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets' appearance in the Sun Bowl. The whole thing will be capped off this evening when the Clemson Tigers and the LSU Tigers square off in the Chick-fil-A Bowl at 7:30 on ESPN, after which I am morally certain Joe Tessitore will narrate as some idiot attempts to kill himself on live television by doing something idiotic.
How will you be rooting in these games, Bulldog Nation? Does the desire to improve the Georgia Bulldogs' falsely maligned strength of schedule compel you to root for the Music City Mariners and the North Avenue Nerds, or does a healthy hatred for James "The Jackwagon" Franklin and Paul "You Keep Using the Word 'Genius'; I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means" Johnson drive you to pull for their opponents? Which set of purple-clad Tigers from Death Valley will receive your support in the Georgia Dome?
This comment thread will remain open and pinned near the top of the page all day, even as additional content appears and scrolls across your screen. Be sure to remain attentive for fresh postings as the day progresses, but stay here for all your reflections and ruminations on the New Year's Eve slate of games, as well as for any thoughts you have to offer on tomorrow's Capital One Bowl and other contests.
