Dawg Nation, it's game day! Commit to the G!

Kickoff is almost upon us, Bulldog Nation! The long-anticipated SEC East matchup between the Georgia Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks at long last has arrived, and, if you aren't in Columbia, the place to be is right here in the Dawg Sports game night open comment thread. Due to the magnitude of tonight's contest, subsequent threads will be opened as the game progresses, and your moderator will guide you to the proper place to continue the conversation. This is your starting point.
All is in readiness, so it only remains for me to name this week's Dawg Sports honorary game captain. Last week, I chose David Pollack, and the result was a victory, so I'm going to do it again this week, as well. Pollack's phenomenal sack/strip/interception/touchdown in Williams-Brice Stadium in 2002 provided the winning margin against the Gamecocks that year, preventing a third straight loss to South Carolina and paving the way to an eventual SEC title. Here's hoping the spirit of David Pollack is alive and well and residing with the Red and Black tonight.
By the way, I am scheduled to appear on The Solid Verbal Live at, or shortly after, kickoff.
Go 'Dawgs!
