Your Week 6 College Football TV Schedule

ESPN keeps telling us how bad the Big Ten sucks. And, while I couldn't agree more, I'll be damned if they don't keep plastering them all over their networks anyway. In totally unrelated news, 4 SEC teams ranked in the Top 10 take the field against one another as the Road to Atlanta begins to narrow considerably.

So now we come to it: The week in which the men begin to be separated from the boys. The week in which the righteous (Richt, Miles[?]) rise above the ranks of the dastardly (Spurrier, Coach Larry). But, whats more, we have an entire weekend of intriguing action lined up. Here, then, are my recommendations for your weekend viewing:

In the 12:00 slate, allow me to suggest that you enjoy the comedic hijinks provided by the Arkansas Razorbacks and Auburn Tigers in what I have dubbed "FailFest 2012." Alternately, if you want to watch competently coached players participating in a game somewhat resembling football, you might want to check out the Mississippi St. Bulldogs against the hapless Kentucky Wildcats or a classic clash between the service academies as the Air Force Falcons face off against the Navy Midshipmen.

At 3:30, you should find yourself compelled to watch the dumpster fire that is the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets lose badly to the Clemson Tigers. Should you find yourself feeling pity for the Yellow Jackets, however, feel free flip over to a real game between the LSU Tigers and the Florida Gators. If you no longer have use for your eyes, take in the tilts between the Wisconsin Badgers and the Illinois Fighting Illini or the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Maryland Terrapins. I assure you, by the time you're finished, you'll have pulled those pesky peepers clean from your skull.

While I know you'll all be glued to the TV at 7:00 as the Georgia Bulldogs take on the South Carolina Gamecocks, you may want to flip over to what is sure to be a high scoring game between the Texas Longhorns and West Virginia Mountaineers during the commercials. Though I know you can't possibly be considering watching such a game, I feel compelled to mention the "game" between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes as well... you know, for comedic effect.

The 8 O'Clock games offer another Big Ten "slugfest" between the Ohio St. Buckeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers on ABC and what is sure to be another Florida St. Seminoles blowout against the ACC also-ran N.C. State Wolfpack. In the 10:30 late slot, you can celebrate a Bulldogs victory with a tall glass of bourbon and a Pac 12 matchup between the Washington Huskies and the Oregon Ducks.

And that, boys and girls, is your Week 6 College Football TV Schedule.

Enjoy! And GOOOO DAWGS!
