Ladies and gentlemen, the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is upon us, and the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators are squaring off with the Eastern Division championship and a trip to the SEC Championship Game likely on the line. All that remains to be completed before kickoff is the announcement of the Dawg Sports honorary game captain.
The choice, of course, should be obvious. This week's honorary captain for the Bulldogs is a former Georgia strong safety who registered seven tackles against the Gators as a junior and notched eleven more stops against Florida as a senior. I am speaking, of course, of William Larry Muschamp, who, in five years as a player in Athens (1990-1994) and in one year as a coach in Gainesville (2011), never once walked off the field following a Cocktail Party clad in the colors of the winning team. Here's hoping Larry remains a perfect 0-fer for his Georgia-Florida career when the clock shows a trio of zeroes in Jacksonville later today.
Cheer on the 'Dawgs and share your observations, exhortations, exultations, and (within reason) frustrations in the comments below. Please pay heed to your moderators, who are here to help.
Go 'Dawgs!
