The Third Annual Dawg Sports Sacrificial Goat Roast, like the first two such events, produced a close game, and, like the 2011 iteration of that affair, it also generated a win for the Georgia Bulldogs, who escaped Lexington with a hard-fought triumph over the Kentucky Wildcats. Accordingly, I have this evening been afforded the opportunity to update the Mark Richt Victory Watch.

The Mark Richt Victory Watch now stands at 112, placing Mark Richt just 89 victories shy of tying Vince Dooley for the all-time school wins tally. With 151 games under his belt, Coach Richt possesses more wins (112), fewer losses (39), and a higher winning percentage (.742) than any previous Red and Black skipper after the same number of games.

At the identical juncture in their respective careers, Wally Butts was 100-44-7 (.685) following a 1952 win over the Auburn Tigers, and Vince Dooley was 101-45-5 (.685) after a 1977 victory over the Mississippi Rebels.
