Good morning, buttercups. Today is the final day before UGA dives into a long slate of potentially terrifying SEC games. Ole Miss this weekend, Miss State next weekend, then Tennessee and finally, a contest against a Vanderbilt team that hasn't been notified that they're Vandy.
So, let's jump right in with some Dawg links to help you breeze through your workday and keep your boss from harshing your Dawg Mellow. Do the jump.
Tyler Dawgden over at the Georgia Sports blog gives us three questions for the Ole Miss game. One question I'd like to have answered? Will Houston Nutt have a total meltdown at his presser if his team gets blown out?
Our Sports Blog Nation colleagues, Red Cup Rebellion, take a look at the SEC East slate for this weekend. It's worth a click because honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Kentucky (as horrible as they are) and Vandy both give their opponents massive scares this weekend. I'm not saying they'll win, but don't sleep on Vandy (I can't believe I just typed that).
Bernie's got a great video linked up of the Dawgs vs. Ole Miss from the 1980 matchup. I can just hear Vineyarddawg now: "History learning'!"
In case you missed it yesterday, The Good Senator (one of the best quote finders around) bestows this Les Miles gem about beer upon us.
Over at Sports Blog Nation Atlanta, Doug Gillett gives us a great Ole Miss preview through Manic Doug and Depressive Doug's eyes. Bonus: Pick the personality you most agree with at the bottom of the page! Polls! Winning!
For your conference realignment talk of the day, it looks like Oklahoma Texas the Big 12 got what they wanted in getting rid of Dan Beebe. Texas A&M is still bolting, though. In the end, does anyone believe the Big 12 still has a future? Also, anyone else find humor in the ACC making such a big play for Syracuse and Pitt, only to have the Pac-12 pump the brakes on all this? This whole thing is like a college conference version of Battleship.
And finally, because I'm one of the more snarky authors on the site here, I offer you this parting shot at Auburn, courtesy of SquidBillies. Also, a big hat tip goes to EDSBS, who linked it up earlier this week.
Until next time kids.
Be safe (and Go Dawgs!).
