Georgia Bulldogs Wednesday Morning NCAA Tournament Bracket Watch

As Seth Emerson reminded us, it was for the benefit of teams on the bubble for the Butler Bulldogs to win the Horizon League finals and the Marquette Golden Eagles to lose in the first round of the Big East tournament. Fans of the Georgia Bulldogs got 50 per cent of what they wanted in last night’s roundball action, as Butler beat the Wis.-Milwaukee Panthers, but Marquette advanced to meet the West Virginia Mountaineers on ESPN at 9:00 tonight.

In his latest bracket projection, Chris Dobbertean had Marquette among the last four in, and Butler among the next four in, the field of 68. With the available at-large spots being whittled down daily, Bulldog Nation needs to be paying particular attention to the ACC Tournament. It would be helpful if the Wake Forest Demon Deacons went on a run, beating the Boston College Eagles on Thursday and the Clemson Tigers on Friday. As much as it turns my stomach to say so, it also would be useful for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to upset the Virginia Tech Hokies tomorrow night.

Of course, another option would be for the Fox Hounds to beat the Auburn Tigers on Thursday, beat the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday, and go on to win the SEC Tournament. Let’s call that Plan "A," shall we?

Go ‘Dawgs!
