Georgia Bulldogs Bracketology (February 21)

As of this past Friday, the Georgia Bulldogs were projected to be one of the last four teams to get into the NCAA Tournament without being forced to take part in the demeaning spectacle that is the "play-in" game. That put the Classic City Canines on the twelve line of the S-curve.

How much good did the Hoop Dogs do themselves with their win over the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday? Georgia now finds itself all the way up to the nine line. That gives the Red and Black a little breathing room heading into the home stretch.

The Bulldogs, who are ranked fifth in the latest SEC Power Poll, have games remaining against the teams ranked first, third, tenth, and eleventh in the league. As long as Mark Fox’s charges beat the teams below them in the pecking order, they’re a good bet to make the field of sixtysomething.
