The Deep South's Oldest Volleyball Rivalry* Game Night Open Comment Thread

Are you ready for some volleyball?

Tonight, at the Ramsey Student Center, the Georgia Bulldogs (6-10 overall, 2-4 SEC) and the Auburn Tigers (9-7, 3-3) will square off in volleyball for the 43rd time. The Red and Black lead the all-time series, 31-11, but the Orange and Blue have taken the last two.

If you’re in Athens, head to what was known in my day as the SPACenter, where the first 500 fans to "Cram the Ram" will receive Georgia volleyball T-shirts. The rest of us can follow the action on ESPNU, beginning at 7:02 p.m. Yes, 7:02 p.m. It’s like we’re CIA agents arranging clandestine meetings with covert assets behind the Iron Curtain.

Since it’s a Georgia sporting event, and it’s being televised, and we’re probably not going to get an official announcement of the Missouri Tigers’ impending move to the SEC tonight or anything, consider this your volleyball open comment thread.

Go ‘Dawgs!

* I have no idea whether this is really the Deep South's oldest volleyball rivalry. I just liked the way it sounded.
