Lost in the midst of all the recent hullabaloo are a trio of tragedies, two of them recent and one of them ongoing, which deserve the attention of everyone in Bulldog Nation. These are they:

- Unfortunately, I missed this when it first occurred because I was out of town at the time, but Nancy Butts Thompson, the daughter of former Georgia head football coach and athletic director Wally Butts, passed away after a six-month battle with lung cancer. As you know, I lost a longtime family friend to lung cancer earlier this year, as well, so this hits close to home. Mrs. Thompson’s family asked that donations be made here:
