The Mark Richt Victory Watch

After the longest ever in-season gap between updates, the Mark Richt Victory Watch returns following the Georgia Bulldogs' 41-14 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers in Sanford Stadium.

The Red and Black played their most complete game of the season, following up three straight SEC losses in which the Athenians never led with an impressive conference victory in which the Classic City Canines never trailed. Aside from dyslexic Georgia fans who mistakenly believe the game ended in a tie, everyone is happy in Bulldog Nation.

Accordingly, I am pleased to report that the Mark Richt Victory Watch now stands at 92. Mark Richt is now 109 wins shy of sharing the all-time school victory record with Vince Dooley, who should root against the 'Dawgs more often if this is the result of our winningest coach pulling for the opposition.

123 games into their respective careers, Wally Butts boasted an 84-33-6 record and a .707 winning percentage, while Vince Dooley had a career ledger of 79-39-5 and was winning at a .663 clip. Mark Richt eclipses them both with a 92-31 record and a .748 winning percentage.

Yeah, the "hot seat" talk seems pretty stupid right about now, doesn't it? (By the way, earlier today, Kirby Smart's defense gave up 35 points to a team Georgia held to 17. I'm just saying.)

Go 'Dawgs!
