For what it's worth, my wife and son took part in a Halloween-themed "pumpkin fun run" this morning. The participants were assigned numbers. My wife was assigned the number 88, and our son was assigned the number 89. For the record, 1988 was the last year in which the Georgia Bulldogs beat both the Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida Gators in the same season, and 1989 was the last year of the Bulldogs' 19-year dominance over the Gators before the Sunshine State Saurians' 20-year dominance over the Classic City Canines began. I'm hoping that's a good omen.
