Coach Richt Keeps Piling Them On . . .

In case you missed it (and let's face it, most of us probably did) Coach Richt announced earlier today that the Bulldogs have signed yet another player to a letter of intent for the 2009 class, kicker Brandon Bogotay.

Bogotay, who did not play football during his high school career in San Diego, competed last year as a freshman at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California, where he earned All-Conference honors. One would imagine that Bogotay's being brought in to handle the kickoff duties, as he was a tepid 15 of 23 on field goal attempts with a long of 52. He did however miss a 55+ yarder in this game against Long Beach Community College, though the kick was 4/5 of the way up the upright:

Mark Richt has said that Blair Walsh got a little dead-legged as 2008 progressed, and that if he could find somebody who can kick the ball out of the endzone and allow Walsh to concentrate on field goals, he'd go sign that player. It looks like he accomplished that objective.

Welcome to Bulldog Nation, Brandon! It's just like San Diego, I swear*.
