Whew! Although I predicted a three-point win and we got a four-point win, it was a lot more nerve-wracking than I anticipated.
Nevertheless, at the end of the day, it was a win, so I am pleased to report that the Mark Richt Victory Watch now stands at 80. Coach Richt needs just 121 more wins to tie Vince Dooley for the all-time school record for victories.

Last Saturday, Mark Richt became the third-longest-tenured head coach in Georgia football history in number of games spent on the sidelines. His 80-21 record after 101 games gives him a better ledger than those compiled by either of his predecessors with more than 100 games under their belts. Wally Butts (72-26-3) and Vince Dooley (68-28-5) both trailed Mark Richt at the same juncture.
Granted, it has felt a little like the mid-1990s these last couple of weeks, what with the blowout loss in Jacksonville and the close call in Lexington, but let us leave the concerns in need of addressing---and there certainly are some---for the offseason. For now, we have two regular-season rivalry games and a bowl game to play, so let’s focus our energy on ensuring that the season ends the way a URL begins: W, W, W.
