We interrupt this weblog to bring you the following public service announcements:
- In case you missed it, there is a very good comment thread discussion going on between LD, Senator Blutarsky, and 34hawk. Since I previously promised to try to stay out of the flow of discussion threads and since I have covered this ground extensively already, I won't be taking part myself, but I would encourage you to follow along and to feel free to jump into the conversation, as well.
- Which is the better Western, "Silverado" or "Tombstone"? Was Val Kilmer a better Doc Holliday in "Tombstone" than Dennis Quaid was in "Wyatt Earp"? What's your take on Danny Glover? A.C. Evans wants to know. I've already shared my opinion, but you should take the time to offer yours, as well.
- Last but by no means least, Doug Gillett and I finally are getting our act together. If you scroll down past the parts about religion, the automotive industry, politics, German, N.F.L. quarterbacks impregnating supermodels, and 10 randomly shuffled songs heard on an iPod, you'll find that Doug has announced the official plans for Bloggerpalooza '07! Although he got the date wrong, the gist of it is that we're going to pick a spot on North Campus (probably close to the main library) and get started around 9:00 on the morning of Saturday, April 7. Be there or be square! (Actually, if you're there, you'll be hanging out with Doug and me, so squareness probably is a given, but at least you won't be alone.)
Go 'Dawgs!
