Clemson 10, Georgia 7

Home field advantage has proven decisive in the Diamond Dogs' two-game series with longtime border rival Clemson.  The Red and Black emerged victorious from yesterday's contest at Foley Field, whereas the Tigers earned the win in the Palmetto State earlier this evening.

The home team never trailed in Wednesday's outing, as the Purple and Orange put up five runs in the bottom of the first inning.  The Bulldogs' bats were far from silent, with Georgia scoring seven runs on a dozen hits, but the Red and Black were unable to close the deal.

As was the case on Tuesday, the visiting squad committed multiple errors in the field, whereas the home team played mistake-free baseball.

The Diamond Dogs return to S.E.C. action against Ole Miss this weekend.
