Georgia 8, Arkansas 7

Don't look now, but the Diamond Dogs have done it again, improving to 3-2 in S.E.C. play with another win over Arkansas this afternoon.

Georgia managed just seven hits on the day while allowing 12.  The Razorbacks held leads of 2-1 after one inning and 6-3 after five innings.  However, the Red and Black persevered, tying the contest in the top of the sixth, taking the lead in the top of the ninth, and surviving an Arkansas rally in the bottom of the frame to claim an 8-7 road victory in Fayetteville.

Winning pitcher Rip Warren improved to 3-0 for the year while Joshua Fields recorded his fifth save of the season.

It suffices to say that my cautious confidence regarding Georgia's prospects this baseball season has been restored.
