N.C.A.A. Tournament Time!

"We were at No. 12," said Georgia women's basketball coach Andy Landers, "which means we should be a No. 3."

For the 23rd time in 25 seasons, the Lady Dogs will be competing in the N.C.A.A. women's basketball tournament, having drawn the No. 3 seed in the Bridgeport, Conn., regional bracket.

In Sunday afternoon's opening round matchup in Trenton, N.J., 12th-ranked Georgia will take on 14th-seeded Marist.  The Lady Bulldogs and the Red Foxes have met once before, resulting in a 79-62 Georgia win in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

I was truly torn between this and a picture of Gene Hackman asking, "Do you pick your feet in Poughkeepsie?"

Should the Red and Black advance to the second round of the tournament, the Lady Dogs will play next Tuesday night against the winner of the game between No. 6 seed Temple and No. 11 seed Hartford.
