The Georgia Bulldogs' tailback rotation took another hit on Monday when it was announced that Carlton Thomas will be suspended at least for the college football season opener against the Boise State Broncos. Dawg Sports reacts . . . badly.
We know a football field would fit in the historic Yankee Stadium, because several football games were played there. (The Bulldogs have played there, in fact.)
Nevertheless, there may not be room for a regulation gridiron in the home of college football's latest bowl game. Rather than get worked up over this and risk being portrayed as a conspiracy theorist rolling ball bearings around while yammering on about strawberries and yellow dye markers, though, I will simply adopt the fallback position my innate Southernness demands:
Anything called the "Yankee Bowl" is, by definition, the national bowl of disinterest. You may consider this brouhaha in an apparently undersized ballpark officially ignored.
