For the record, Georgia's non-conference slates for those years include Division I-AA Southern, Louisiana-Monroe, and Georgia Tech (in Atlanta) in 2015, and Division I-AA Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech (in Athens) in 2016. I'm just sayin'. Go 'Dawgs!

At least at this point in time, a nine-game football schedule has little support among the membership for myriad reasons, with the ADs at Georgia and Tennessee being the lone known exceptions.

— In Nashville today, seven hours of meetings produced no decision by the SEC athletic directors on an eight- or nine-game league schedule for 2013, but Greg McGarity appears open to the idea, in order to preserve the ~~Deep~~ South's Oldest Rivalry. Go 'Dawgs!

The Big Ten and the Pac-12 have agreed to a league-wide non-conference scheduling arrangement, effective as of 2017. In addition to cementing the eight-game conference schedule (SEC, take note), doesn't this basically ensure that the tentatively-set 2020 and 2021 meetings between Georgia and Ohio State are virtually assured of not happening?
