Apparently, now our only option on third and long will be to take a knee. Seriously, though, Carlton Thomas did what was asked of him on the football field, and he is not to blame for the fact that he often was misused. He also had the guts to play tailback in the SEC despite his (relatively) diminutive stature, and, for that, I thank him, and I wish him well. Go 'Dawgs!

The Gators have lost three in a row and have come up short in four of their last six games against SEC opposition. Florida fans want their offensive coordinator replaced. At least it's not just us, right? Go 'Dawgs!

Year2 looks at the numbers and makes this interesting point: "I don't know if we can chalk all of the improvement, especially in points, up to the defense alone. Georgia committed three turnovers in each of these games last year, as opposed to one turnover in each of this year's games. That helps out any defense. In addition, Georgia's punt coverage is a little more than four yards per punt better and its kickoff coverage went from allowing 25.71 yards per return in '09 to 17.57 per return this year. These two combined have resulted in about 40 yards of field position saved per game." It's worth the read. Go 'Dawgs!

At this point, I think it's safe to say that matters have evolved in such a way that I'm going to make regular appearances on Kit's podcast, because, frankly, it's fun talking Georgia football with him. Honestly, the fact that he records the conversation so the rest of you can hear it is just gravy from where I sit. If Kit just called me up at the first of every week and said, "Hey, Kyle, I was wondering if you'd like to chat about last Saturday's game for a few minutes," I'd be cool with that, and we'd have pretty much the same conversation. Really, when you think about it, you people are eavesdropping on Kit's and my conversation, but it's all right as long as you don't call the Saturday Evening Post. Give it a listen. Go 'Dawgs!

Is the Georgia offensive coordinator playing it close to the vest, engaging in deliberate efforts to pass bad information along to the enemy, or coming right out and refuting a baseless rumor? (Note that the conflicting early reports said that Logan Gray would be starting or that Joe Cox would be starting but that Gray would play more. The last option apparently has not yet been denied.)
