Following their late-season swoon, the Georgia Bulldogs were not expected to accomplish much in the SEC baseball tournament in Hoover. On Wednesday afternoon, though, the Diamond Dogs surprised their detractors by beating the third-seeded Ole Miss Rebels 6-3.

The Georgia Bulldogs visited Oxford for the first game of a three-game baseball series against the red-hot Ole Miss Rebels on Friday night. Thanks to a grand slam by Joey Lewis, the Diamond Dogs notched an opening win.
