Sources said Georgia's schedule got harder.

California (Pac-10), Georgia (SEC), and Notre Dame (Big East), all of whom participated in the Old Spice Classic last Thanksgiving are ticketed for the CBE Classic in Kansas City this year, alongside Missouri (Big 12).

Even though Georgia appears among the Next Four In, the Bulldogs are considerably safer than the other three teams in that group. As I stressed in a Q&A over at Dawg Sports on Wednesday, they should get in if they avoid the dreaded late bad loss.
— The Bulldogs are the least bubble-like of the last of the bubble teams.
Basically, as long as Georgia doesn't lose to South Carolina on Saturday, to LSU next week, or to a lower-seeded team in the SEC Tournament, the Fox Hounds are safe.

The Bulldogs (18-8, 7-5) haven't lost to anyone outside the RPI top 40, but this victory provided a much-needed quality win. It eased some of the sting from squandering a lead against Vanderbilt earlier in the week and marked the Bulldogs' first victory over a likely NCAA tournament team since a win over Kentucky to start SEC play more than a month ago.

To say that Georgia has historically struggled against Kentucky would be an understatement. The Wildcats lead the series by a count of 112-25 with a sparkling 54-5 record against the Bulldogs in Lexington. If Georgia can take anything positive into the game it is that eight of those 25 lifetime wins against Kentucky have come in the last 10 years.

Georgia is now 14-4 overall and 3-2 in the SEC. The win puts the Bulldogs just a half a game behind the Florida Gators for the top spot in the SEC's Eastern division. The Gators will visit Athens on Tuesday.
