At a news conference yesterday, the medical director of the rehabilitation center at which Diamond Dogs second baseman Chance Veazey has been recovering from his October 28 motor scooter accident announced that the Tifton freshman is paralyzed from the waist down.

In the midst of all our collective sadness at the loss of the Georgia mascot, we need to remember the life-changing injuries suffered by this young man, as well. He has a long road ahead of him and he needs our support along the way.
