When Colonial BancGroup went belly up earlier this week, it left Auburn in the lurch. The bank, as Team Speed Kills pointed out, is run by one Bobby Lowder when he's not giving Jay Jacobs permission to vacate his bowels. But in the wake of the bank's sale, not only does Lowder have that much more time to search for the team's next head coach but Auburn has lost the primary advertiser supporting the broadcast of its athletic events.
