Following a 5-1 start to the 2010 campaign, Kansas State checked in at No. 22 in the season's first Bowl Championship Series standings released Sunday by the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame. The BCS ratings are calculated by averaging the percentage totals of the Harris Interactive Poll, USA Today Coaches Poll and computer rankings. K-State, which has collected non-conference wins over UCLA and UCF to go along with its 2-1 Big 12 record, checked in at No. 27 in this week's USA Today and AP polls, ranked 25th in the Harris Poll, and was ranked 19th according to the computer ratings.

Iowa is at #9 in AP poll (and 1 ahead of PSU), #10 in Coaches poll, who still inexplicably rank them behind a Penn State team with identical record, home loss to team they're ahead of.

The Associated Press Poll, the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Harris Poll all agree - Alabama remains Number Three.

Two FanShots in one Saturday morning! Exhausting. The writers like us a little less than the coaches do. We're the fourth "Others Receiving Votes" team--vs. the second in the USA Today preseason poll. Illinois is two spots ahead of us. Ohio State (#6), Penn State (#9), and Iowa (#22) are all within one spot of where the coaches had them. Oh, and Notre Dame checks in at #23. The much more prestigious Blogpoll preseason rankings come out on Monday.
