She's Here!

Elizabeth Rose King arrived at 7:49 this morning, weighing 6 lbs., 8 oz., and measuring 18 1/2 inches in length.

Yes, the name "Rose" occurred to me when I thought the 'Dawgs had a shot at facing Southern California in Pasadena on New Year's Day.

No, it was not intentional that my daughter's initials spell out the first name of my favorite Georgia defensive coordinator.

The baby's mother, older brother, other family members, and friends will call her "Elizabeth." Her father will call her "Scout" and, when she figures out how to bend her father to her whim (I give it two months, tops), she will call me "Atticus."

Mother and daughter are doing fine. Photographs to follow.

Congrats!
Hope she, her brother, and her mother are doing fine. It sounds like dad is!

Always good to have another King around!

Scout
Having a daughter named Scout is, of course, the great dream of every literature-loving southern lawyer.

Hearty, hearty, congratulations.

Looks like my congrats came early
Kind of dwarfs a couple of blog awards. Well, again, let me extend congratulations to you and your family!

Congratulations
Kyle,

Warmest congratulations from the frigid Middle-West on the arrival of your new born. All the best to you and your family on this happy day.

So, a week, two weeks before her first Georgia sporting event? ;)

Congrats again,
Dave

All this time we had no idea.  I guess those blog awards mean nothing in comparison haha.  Again, congratulations Kyle

Congratulations, Kyle and family. Kyle, daughters are special. Keep this in mind always:

Apologies for the garbled code. Never pasted one of these things into a comment on somebody else's site!

Cheers!
Best wishes to you and yours on this joyous occasion!

I appreciate the beauty and meaning of both "Elizabeth" and "Scout", but may we please, please, please call her ERK?

Congratulations, Kyle.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Even though I don't believe for one second that her initials were an "accident."

So are you gonna bring the little one to G-Day Tailgate '08? No reason you can't get her fandom jumpstarted early . . .

Congratulations!
Let me assure you though that the days of getting a child through the day in one outfit, absent a mud or red sauce interface, are over. You'd think we were running a permanent fashion show at Estancia DC Trojan.

Enjoy, though. I'm already looking at mine and wondering where the babies went, but every day brings something new, and that's a gift in itself.

Congratulations again to you all.

Whew....
Just glad to know that the name Knowshawna is still available for my first born daughter.

Congratulations from the deep south!

Hey!
Congrats to your and yours!

Just keep her away from:

  1.  Chik Fil A's with Bacon (colic, you know)
  2.  Cell Phones
  3.  Internets (It's the debil, it is)
  4.  Anything orange.

Congrats
Haven't been keeping up with your blog as much as I would like to, and had no idea you guys were expecting.  Babies are the coolest.
