Monday Morning Dawg Bites
My recent mention of the fact that, yes, believe it or not, I am on Facebook generated a number of "friend" requests from Dawg Sports readers, which made me realize that I have not waded through my e-mail in-basket in far too long. A recent trek there revealed the following links, all of which I submit for your consideration:
- A fine tribute to Dave Bliss and Sundiata Gaines appears at The Blue Workhorse. While I'll be sharing some thoughts subsequently on what Georgia's tournament run has to say about playoffs generally, you have to feel good for Bliss and Gaines on the way they ended their Bulldog playing careers, which this piece addresses.
- Dennis's Dogs may not have survived the first round, but Georgia finished the basketball season ranked No. 1 in drunk college foods and, of course, in mascots.
- Finally, even in March, it ain't all about basketball, as the Ethanator posted a Herschel Walker video. Anything pro-Herschel is always welcome here at Dawg Sports.
Go 'Dawgs!

Sadly, UGA cannot claim that title
First off, the Luther Burger was served at Mulligans, but that's in Decatur, far closer to about 10 NCAA institutions than the University of Georgia. Agnes Scott and Emory have first claim to that.
Second, and more importantly, umm... Mulligans closed down. At least 6 months ago, maybe longer. The only way one can make a Luther Burger is by doing it by yourself.
