The Mark Richt Victory Watch
I arrived home from Athens to find a reader request awaiting me in what was an active open comment thread today. I am, of course, happy to oblige by updating the Mark Richt Victory Watch.

This afternoon's victory over Ole Miss gave Mark Richt his 65th career win, placing him only 136 victories shy of tying Vince Dooley for the all-time school record.
With 83 games under his belt, Coach Richt has posted a 65-18 record as the Bulldogs' head coach. At the same juncture in their respective tenures with the Red and Black, Harry Mehre (50-30-3), Wally Butts (60-21-2), and Vince Dooley (56-23-4) all trailed Mark Richt in terms of wins and losses.
Go 'Dawgs!

Florida falls
I hate auburn like Kyle, but I also hate Florida too. It's good to see Florida fans so sad.
Also, Ole Miss and Auburn have both given us some ideas how to stop the gators.
Agreed
Kentucky is the last unbeaten in the Eastern Division. Suddenly, it's all wide open again and the S.E.C. championship game berth is up for grabs once more.
Next Saturday's showdown in Knoxville just took on a whole new magnitude of meaning.
What a fun day...
With so many teams ranked higher than us taking it on the chin sort of clears the way for the Dawg Train.
Go DAWGS!

Kudos to the Plainsmen
Congratulations, Auburn. I hate Auburn.
future games
They also showed that you can pass (and run) on Florida, especially seam routes and over the middle, so hopefully Tripp and the slot guys will be up to the task.
Florida showed a nice blitz toward the end against Cox that worked. It looked like a zone blitz bringing 2 guys (LB & safety?) from the right side of the defense (weakside of the offense, I think). Auburn usually only picked up 1 guy and the other pressured Cox into bad passes.
Thomas Brown
I can only find the top 5 career rushers in the UGA media guide online. 5th place is Kevin Lee with 2581 yards. 4th is Rodney Hampton (2668) and 3rd is Lars Tate (3017) and 2nd is Garrison Hearst (3232).
If TB avg 80 in the next 7 games, he would end up with 2820 yards and sitting in 4th place within sight of Lars Tate.
