Starting quarterback hasn't dyed a map of the state onto the side of his head? Check.

Most hated rival's starting tailback suspended for season opener? Check.

It is only the first game of the season...

...But I think U of M's bid for a MNC is pretty much shot.

Let's hope that's the only major upset of the day.

over Oklahoma State.

one thing you guys need to know about Oklahoma State. Last season, they were terrible in the first half.

Their second half of games? Explosive. massively explosive.

Hmm

Well, apparently ESPN disagreed with your assessment of the Mizzo-Illnois game, keeping it on as they did past the UGA kickoff.

Did I miss something today? Is Coutu hurt? Is Richt still responsible for 4th down decisions or is that Bobo's job now? Last year I'm pretty sure we would have taken a few field goals rather than try and convert a 4th down like we did a couple times today. I'm not complaining; just seems odd.

During the postgame press conference . . .

. . . Coach Richt said he was bothered by the coverage on the extra point attempts, as Oklahoma State was getting penetration. Accordingly, he opted not to attempt the long field goal.

Hmmm

I don't think either of us were right in our pick for #1, on the basis of today's displays. Not that SC was horrible, but they were flat and very bland.

I caught a little of the Georgia game while we were out for dinner, they looked good.
