Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Friday's Random News

A few things you should probably be aware of this Friday morning, because you never know when Winnie the Pooh's sidekick is going to bust down the door and shoot you in the keister:

You've heard of beating a dead horse? Well the NCAA is kicking a sick buffalo.

Paul Westerdawg has video of the coolest pregame show that I hope never to see back in Athens. It's like a giant airborne cherrishinski.

Remember that Arkansas fan poll regarding Houston Nutt? Turns out he's got a 63% approval rating even when you skew the questions against him. Like the old gent of Monty Python lore, he's naught yet dead.

And I'd like to extend my best wishes for a speedy recovery to Tennessee womens' basketball coach Pat Summit, even if she is the hobgoblin that haunts Andy Landers' dreams.

Re: Cherrishinski (Sp.?)
These were not invented in either of the past 2 years - we've been enjoying them during the Christmas holidays since the late 80's. My first exposure to them was cherries soaked for 3 weeks in moonshine. If one begins this process over Thanksgiving week-end, they'll be perfect for Christmas/New Years/bowl season. Cheers!
