You Can't Spell "A Dufus" Without A-U
Paul Westerdawg already covered this, but a story this good bears repeating.
Steven Segerlin, a national championship-winning diver for Auburn, reportedly was caught relieving himself in a campus parking deck in Athens. The arresting officer also indicated that he detected an odor of alcohol about Segerlin. (In his defense, if you knew you were about to have to leave the Classic City and go to the Loveliest [sic.] Village, you might drown your sorrows with a couple of cold ones, too.)
When asked to produce identification, Segerlin allegedly showed the officers a Michigan I.D. bearing the name of a former swimmer for Wayne State University. Consequently, possession of fraudulent identification was added to the charge of public drunkenness.
Here's the kicker: Segerlin is 22 years old. If this story pans out, Steven Segerlin will be remembered as the only guy in history ever to have used a fake I.D. in Athens, Ga., who was legal!
This is exactly the sort of brilliant behavior you would expect from the most inbred fan base in college football. Hey, if your parents-in-law were also your aunt and uncle, your children's decisionmaking would be this poor, too.
At least, if they put Segerlin on probation, he'll fit right in at Auburn.
I hate Auburn.
