Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Georgia 3, Tennessee 0

Just when I was ready to write them off altogether, the Diamond Dogs turned in an admirable performance against Tennessee on Saturday.

Georgia's Joey Side led off the first inning with the home run that would provide all the scoring the Red and Black would need.  Although the Bulldogs loaded the bases with no one out in the bottom of the fourth inning yet failed to score, the home team eked out a trio of runs on eight hits.

The story of the day, though, was Georgia pitcher Brooks Brown, who did not allow the game's second hit until after the second out of the fifth inning had been recorded.  Brown pitched his way out of a bases-loaded jam in that same frame and he proceeded to go the distance, pitching nine scoreless innings and allowing only three hits.

The deciding contest of the three-game set will take place on Sunday afternoon, when the Diamond Dogs will have the chance to continue their climb out of the conference cellar in their ongoing effort to redeem a once-promising season that may not yet be spoiled.

Go 'Dawgs!
