Clean Old-Fashioned Ignorance
It's that time of year again.
As always, the classless, baseless, and bilious broadsides by Yellow Jacket fans who know better have begun in earnest.
Naturally, their familiar refrain involves the unimaginative and indiscriminate use of the phrase "white trash."
In a related item, here is a photograph of the most famous alumnus of the Georgia Institute of Technology:

If Jeff Foxworthy went to your school and you have the nerve to call someone else white trash, you might be a hypocrite! (Photograph from The New Georgia Encyclopedia.)
Like I said . . . pathetic.
Go 'Dawgs!

Right back atchya, buddy.
Really, though, I argue now is NOT the time for any Tech fan or Georgia fan to be logical or reasonable about the insults. I have noted in the past that Tech is too obsessed with Georgia, and needs to focus more on itself and less on the school from Athens. Now is not the time for that stuff, though. Every other week of the year, yes be like, "That's the same tired crap y'all always say." Or explain, "The University/The Institute has grown in quality/character and is no longer as easy/nerdy as it used to be." But not this week. Now is the time to throw reality out the window, take our tired stupid stereotypes, and RUN with them. I want juvenile crap. I want Hate. I celebrate "Clean Old-Fashioned Ignorance!" Throughout the week and on Saturday, don't say anything dumb enough to get yourself into a fight, but heckle all you want and be prepared to take like you give.
(Note: I actually don't like the term "white trash," my standard UGA stereotype is Foxworthy's standby "redneck." Just used the term since it was a "White Trash Party.")
