Week Nine BlogPoll Ballot Submitted

Unlike some sportswriters and sports information directors I could name, I waited until all of this weekend's college football games had been played before I presumed to cast my ballot ranking the 25 best teams in the sport, on the theory that whether particular teams won or lost, and how they played the game, might be relevant to my rankings. Of course, that could just be me.

Here are the top 25 teams in the land, as viewed from the vantage point of Dawg Sports:

Rank Team Delta
1 Ohio State --
2 Michigan --
3 West Virginia --
4 Florida 7
5 Louisville 8
6 Arkansas 1
7 California 10
8 Boston College 2
9 Notre Dame 6
10 Tennessee 2
11 Texas 3
12 Auburn 3
13 Wisconsin 7
14 Rutgers --
15 Southern Cal 10
16 Boise State 2
17 LSU 1
18 Oklahoma 2
19 Oregon --
20 Virginia Tech 6
21 Clemson 17
22 Wake Forest 1
23 Texas A&M 1
24 South Carolina 1
25 Georgia Tech 1

Dropped Out: Nebraska (#22), Missouri (#25).

My explanation for the foregoing rankings will follow shortly.

Go 'Dawgs!
